Said simply, the way we do this is by helping owners really become Small Business CEOs. This looks like building structure, clarity, and focus around their ideas and dare I say: themselves. But even the most focused small business owners face one challenge across the board: time. And I believe that we&#8217;re lucky to live in a time where tech, used well, provides so many options and solutions to create time for us. So today, I want to give you 3 practical ChatGPT business use cases for small creative businesses to increase your efficiency <em>and creativity<\/em>. Plus, I want to share my favorite ChatGPT training to help you learn the most targeted way to benefit from the tech, without losing your human touch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before getting into these ChatGPT use cases, let me back up and say: I\u2019m incredibly optimistic about AI\u2019s uses in business and creativity. It\u2019s funny: this is something my (data scientist) husband and I constantly argue about. He worries about AI replacing jobs. To the contrary, I\u2019m excited about its ability to up the ante and make our jobs more interesting, creative, and experiential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I believe that when used well, ChatGPT (or your AI tool of choice) is a launching pad to get you from 0 to 1. <a href=\"https:\/\/zudigitest.com\/ellevatedoutcomes\/tech-tools-for-small-business-5-things-to-automate-before-you-hire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">When you use tech<\/a> to get that first heavy lift out of the way, you\u2019re then able to use your brain power and creativity to really bring the work to life in the most colorful, customized way. It saves you time and applies your energy in a (re)generative way.<strong><br><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Writing Project Plans<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most creative founders have more ideas than time to action (and organizational skills, ha). ChatGPT can help you turn that swirl of ideas into structure, whether you need to project manage yourself, a project, or a team of people. Try prompting it to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Create a high-level <strong>project plan<\/strong> to achieve your big-picture goal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Break objectives or ideas into <strong>action steps<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plot the action steps into a <strong>realistic timeline<\/strong> with dependencies, owners, milestones, and even contingency plans (because things will never go entirely to plan; they just won\u2019t).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">EXAMPLE PROMPT: PROJECT PLAN FOR NEW LOCATION<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cCreate a project plan to open our business\u2019s 2<sup>nd<\/sup> physical location in Columbus, OH. The space is 2,000 square feet. We have a 5-year lease, and it\u2019s currently a white box. We are a high-end body and mind workout studio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our target opening date is January 1. Here\u2019s our current staff [attach org chart]. We have a designer and contractor chosen, the lease is signed, funding of $200,000 is secured, and we\u2019ll have keys in hand on October 15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a fast-moving project that\u2019s high-risk with a tight timeline (if we miss the Jan 1 opening, we lose an important revenue season for our business). Therefore, this requires the work to happen over the upcoming holiday season. This plan should include phases, dependencies, owners, deliverables, deadlines, and a contingency plan.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">TIP &amp; TRICK<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Be excruciatingly specific. In a real life example, I\u2019d also give ChatGPT the business\u2019s website and branding info, photos of the current space, design plans, and information about who the designer and contractor are. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A common tech adage is: garbage in, garbage out. So the more specific you make your prompt, the higher quality output you\u2019ll receive. The ChatGPT training rec I share below helps here!<strong><br><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Drafting Scripts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whether you\u2019re prepping for a client call, <a href=\"https:\/\/zudigitest.com\/ellevatedoutcomes\/how-to-receive-feedback\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">giving feedback<\/a>, or preparing a presentation, ChatGPT is an incredible scriptwriting partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can use it to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Draft <strong>client communication scripts<\/strong> (emails, follow-ups, proposals).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Write internal <strong>leadership scripts<\/strong> (team updates, feedback conversations).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Refine tone, structure, and flow<\/strong> so your message lands clearly with its recipient.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">EXAMPLE PROMPT: SCRIPT TO ANNOUNCE NEW SALES INITIATIVE TO TEAM<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWrite me a script for a boutique store owner to launch a holiday sales campaign with her team. This boutique provides an elevated-casual shopping experience for women in Savannah, GA. Their specialty is combining a desirable and obtainable product mix, styling, hospitality, and connecting with clients. The tone should be supportive yet firm, thoughtful, direct, clear, and energizing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">TIP &amp; TRICK<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Never, ever, <em>ever<\/em> take an AI-generated piece of work as final. The above example was a real-life example I generated for a client. But once I receive the initial output, I then went back and went through 2 additional, major editing \/ clarifying rounds with Chat to keep honing it. Then, I sent my 3x revised draft to our client so that she could really make it her own. She did another 3 rounds of edits so that this was fully customized to her business, team, and circumstance and had her voice and fingerprint on it.<strong><br><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Digesting and Summarizing Information<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When your work involves reading long articles, case studies, or interpreting data, ChatGPT (and tools like NotebookLM) can act as your research assistant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Upload or paste key materials, then ask it to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Compare perspectives and <strong>summarize key points<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Extract and assign <strong>actions.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Translate the information<\/strong> into different learning styles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">EXAMPLE PROMPT: TRANSLATE INDUSTRY REPORT WIIFM?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSummarize the main takeaways from this industry report [attached] and list 3 risks, 3 opportunities, and 3 action items for my business [insert your business\u2019s website or a short description]. Present this to me in a podcast.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">TIP &amp; TRICK<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I must give Whitney Daniel of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theperfectpairnashville.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Perfect Pair<\/a> credit for the podcast idea. She introduced me to <a href=\"https:\/\/notebooklm.google\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NotebookLM<\/a>, when she clued me into how she often digests (um.. academic) information I\u2019ll send her way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She uploads it to this tool, and it can turn a detailed written doc, report, or article into a podcast, which is so fantastic for auditory learners. For visual learners, you can translate it into a video or mind map.
